Hello friends and colleagues,
Welcome to our 'middlekingdom-bojia' blog, our second tentative step into the cyber world of the 21st century. Wasn't the first step email? So many of you have asked about our web site (er, we're thinking about it - does that count?) that we thought this site would be a good first step.
Now that the 2006 holiday rush has ended, we are preparing for the next New York International Gift Fair presentation in late January. The fair will run Sunday, January 28th through Thursday, February 1st (see nyigf.com for all the show details). We'll exhibit again on Pier 94, 12th Avenue at 55th Street. We have some beautiful new additions to the hand painted 'Scholar' series and new colors in the 'Hermit' series - so new that we don't yet have photos! We've also created an exclusive series of hand painted vases for our hometown museum the Sackler/Freer, and a rustic series of vases, plates and bowls for retailers extraordinaire Relish/Flowers at Relish.
After New York Bo will again head to the kiln, a beautiful Anhui-style building we have created in Jingdezhen. It's never to early to worry about Autumn '07! We have more than a few new designs in the pipeline, and hope to bring many of them to market in the fall, kiln gods willing.
Until we see you all in New York, Happy New Year!
Bo and Alison Jia
